Red Flag #1: The Domain Name The link you clicked led to instagram.at-secure-net.com. Always check the browser address bar. Official Instagram pages will always end exactly in instagram.com.

Red Flag #2: Artificial Urgency Phishing emails use alerts about "Unusual Logins" to make you panic. If you receive an alert like this, never click the link. Open the official app on your phone instead.

Red Flag #3: Unexpected Requests Instagram will rarely email you asking to "Verify Identity" through a link. Most security actions happen directly inside the app settings.
